Back on the Trail: Lecka’s Global Journey Continues

After a short break to welcome a new family member, Markus is back with fresh updates from the Lecka world. What started as a small idea in the hills of Vietnam has grown into a global movement for real food nutrition. Lecka has taken big steps forward this year, launching in France and the UAE through trusted local partners who share the same passion for endurance sports. With strong connections to cycling and running communities, these markets mark an exciting chapter in Lecka’s mission to bring natural, gut-friendly fuel to athletes worldwide.

One of the biggest highlights has been the evolution of Lecka’s energy gels. The lineup now features five unique flavors—including banana, passion fruit, and the locally inspired kumquat honey and lime ginger. The team continues to refine every detail, from ingredients to packaging. By switching to tapioca syrup sourced from Vietnamese cassava, Lecka doubles down on its commitment to local ingredients and sustainability. Upcoming packaging improvements also aim to reduce waste on trails with a new tear-stop design, keeping every gel convenient and eco-friendly.

Looking ahead, Lecka is preparing to launch a new “Ultra Gel” with over 55 grams of carbs for long-distance athletes, alongside a hydration product in the works. In the U.S., Lecka continues to grow through partnerships with The Feed and specialty running shops, focusing on storytelling and authentic connections rather than ads. Despite challenges—from tough markets to recent flooding in Hoi An—the brand’s momentum remains strong. As Markus puts it, the journey continues with one goal in mind: helping athletes fuel smart and fuel naturally.
